La Jolla High students get started on FIRST robotics project
A contingent of La Jolla High School students was among those who gathered on Jan.7 at Kearny High to find out their tasks for the FIRST Robotics Competition regionals in March.
The competition is a multinational even that teams up professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way, according to a press release from the San Diego Unified School District. Each year the competition reaches more than 43,000 students on over 1,500 teams in competitions held across the U.S. and in other parts of the world.
