La Jolla Country Day’s Mathis named player of the year

The San Diego Hall of Champions announced its All-CIF teams and several area student-athletes were honored.
La Jolla Country Day’s Chloe Mathis was named the volleyball player of the year. She helped lead the Torreys to back-to-back state titles.
Peter Ogle, the long-time head coach of the Torreys was named the coach of the year for volleyball as well.
