Week in Sports: La Jolla High hoops off to fast start

The La Jolla High School basketball team is off to a perfect start through its firs six games this season.

The Vikings, which lost four starters from last season, have not missed a beat after finishing as the Division III CIF runner-up.

Nick Sebald led the Vikings with 13 points

Sage Burmeister and Jake Hershfield led the Torreys with 15 points each

Jake Skoll and Danny Rogers each scored a goal for the Torreys

Thursday, Dec. 9
Girls basketball

San Pasqual 51, La Jolla 23
Taylor Templeton led the Vikings with 6 points.

Ana Cruz and Emily Eibl had goals for the Torreys; Lock had a shutout

Bishop’s 1, Westview 0
Geny Decker scored the winner for the Knights; Devan Osegueda had the shutout.

Webster and Claryann Olofsson-Loo each had four goals for the Knights.
