They’re Engaged
Blair and Georgia Sadler of La Jolla announce the engagement of their daughter Nicole Robins Sadler to Evan Rogers Ransom, the son of Michael Ransom and Katherine Kersey. Nicole is a graduate of La Jolla High School and was a member of the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory.
Evan Ransom and Nicole Sadler plan to wed in the spring.
Nicole and Evan met while completing their undergraduate degrees at Northwestern University in Chicago. Nicole is the granddaughter of Donald and Rita Robins of Kingston, Penn. and the late Alfred and Margaret Sadler of Allentown, Penn. She taught in the Bronx and Manhattan as part of the New York City Teaching Fellows Program while completing her master’s degree in Spanish. She subsequently received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is a member of the California Bar.
Evan is the grandson of William and Ida Kathleen Ransom of Indianapolis. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He is currently a chief resident in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and will begin a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery next summer. A spring wedding is planned in Philadelphia.
