Gala raises funds for marine education programs for teens

Ocean Discovery Institute, founded in 1999, celebrated its accomplishments and its plans for growth at the annual “Bubble Up!” black-tie gala Nov. 6 at UCSD’s Calit2 and Warren Mall. The event featured dining, entertainment, and auctions to raise $170,000 to fund tuition-free programs that engage, educate, and inspire youth from urban backgrounds through science-based exploration of the ocean and nature. Learn more atoceandiscoveryinstitute.org.
