You forgot to mention golfer Harry Rudolph III of La Jolla High School, who was also named as one of the "50 top athletes" in San Diego.

Rudolph, who played on the National Championship Team at the University of Arizona and was later inducted into the University's Hall of Fame, eventually turned pro and played briefly on the PGA Tour. He now has his amateur status back, and is widely considered to be one of the best golfers in the country. He has, for example, won the California State Amateur Championship, the San Diego City Amateur Championship, the Kelly Cup, etc. In addition, he has performed well in the U.S. Amateur Championship, the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, and other national events.
