G.W. Bush visits downtown San Diego, promotes memoir

By City News Service

Former President George W. Bush is scheduled to address members of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce on Thursday in a fitting location — the Presidential Ballroom at the U.S. Grant Hotel.

Bush is expected to share his experiences during his presidency, including the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorism attacks, Hurricane Katrina and the war in Iraq.

Bush is on a speaking tour coinciding with the release of his memoir, “Decision Points.” Work also began this week on the George W. Bush Presidential Library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
