La Jolla open houses starts off holiday shopping
A group of La Jolla merchants in the 7700-7800 blocks of Girard Avenue is having their annual Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.Each participating merchant plans to donate 10 percent of all proceeds from that day’s sales to a local charity. They’ll also be having drawings, refreshments, music, book signings and demonstrations as well as offering gift ideas.
As of press time, participants include Adelaide’s, Ascot Shop, Burns Drugs, Geppetto’s, Girard Gourmet, Meanley and Son, MOS-My Own Space and Warwicks.
They will be marked with green and gold balloons.
Two days later, from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 9 La Maisonnette French Boutique in downtown La Jolla at 7831 is hosting “Fête de Noël” and donating 10 percent of all proceeds to St. Germaine Children’s Charity. Wine and appetizers will be served.
