Meet NYT food writer and win his new cookbook

New York Times “Curious Cook “columnist and expert on the science of food and cooking, Harold McGee will be at Warwick’s Books, 7812 Girard Ave. at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 to promote his new book “Keys to Good Cooking: A Guide to Making the Best of Foods and Recipes.” ($35, The Penguin Press).

The tome is touted as “the perfect companion for navigating a complicated Thanksgiving dinner and ensuring delicious leftovers.”

He previous published the award-winning bestseller “On Food and Cooking.” McGee’s column in the Times is read by gastronomes worldwide.

You could win a copy of “Keys to Good Cooking,” by sending in your favorite stuffing recipe for publication in a Nov. 18 story about Thanksgiving in the Light.

Just e-mail the stuffing recipe to sdemaggio@lajollalight.com by Wednesday, Nov. 10. The recipe is your ticket to a drawing for McGee’s must-have stove-side reference book on Nov. 11.
