Students in the Muirlands Mosaic after-school club in La Jolla are working with Bird Rock artist Jane Wheeler on mosaic benchtops for the two concrete benches in the newly remodeled garden area.
One bench themed in green and titled “Follow Your Path,” will include a quote from Robert Frost’s famous poem “The Road Not Taken.” The other bench is a multicolored palate and themed “Muirlands Is.”
The mosaics will be installed by Thanksgiving on the campus where the Beautification Committee has been working diligently for the past six years to make some transformational changes.
