La Jolla girls on Nomads division-leading U-16 team

The Nomads girls under 16 soccer team moved into first place in their AAA Division with back-to-back victories over rivals Carlsbad Lightening and FC Heat.

With the coaching of Kristin Jones (La Jolla High and UCSD), the Nomads were led by Itzel Caro (La Jolla High), Ellie Dye (La Jolla High), Gio Harvey (Bishops), Jenny Kirby (La Jolla High) and Natasha Thomson (Bishops). Top scorer, Sara Perez, used her solid ball skills to move the ball down the field and into the back of the net.
