Fire damages shed at Bird Rock home
A fire of unknown origin caused $1,500 in damages, $1,000 to the structure, $500 to the contents, of a detached backyard shed in a Bird Rock residence at 6121 La Jolla Blvd. on Saturday, said San Diego Fire-Rescue public information officer Lee Swanson.
“The call came in at 1:36 p.m. and Fire Engine 13 from La Jolla got there in five and a half minutes and Fire Engine 21 in Pacific Beach got there in seven minutes,” said Swanson. “It was put out pretty quickly. They were done by 2:05 p.m.”
