Video contest has a mission

Can 30 seconds change the world? San Diego-based Earth-List.com thinks it very well could. Now through Nov. 15, Earth-List.com is hosting a national online Eco-Awareness Video Contest, with the challenge to submit a 30 second video addressing the question: “What do you do on a daily basis to help make the Earth a better place?”

The initiative encourages anyone with access to any form of video recording device (mobile phone, web-cam, hand held devices, professional video cameras, etc.) to contribute their special way of giving back and reducing their own as well as others’ carbon footprint.

Earth-List.com’s platform partner, Skillcount.com, is hosting the contest on its proprietary video rating and viewing web interface. Skillcount.com enables registered users to submit their content onto the site while also allowing viewers to rate the videos on a scale from 1-5. The winner will be given an iPad.

To register for the contest visit www.skillcount.com/challenge/earthlist.

For contest rules and eligibility see www.skillcount.com/terms.
