Body found in burning vehicle at Clairemont mall

A body was found inside a burning vehicle at a shopping mall in Clairemont on Thursday, according to police.
Firefighters were called just after 12:10 p.m. to a parking lot near the intersection of Genesee Avenue and Mount Alifan Drive. They spotted the body after they extinguished the flames, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The death was being investigated as a possible suicide, said Sgt. Ray Batrick of the San Diego Police Department.
