A La Jolla electronics store suffered a significant loss in a burglary Monday, a San Diego police lieutenant said.

Someone pried open the front door of Beyond Tech at 7603 Girard Ave. around 4:30 a.m. and removed big-screen televisions, digital computers and high-end digital cameras, Lt. Andra Brown said.

A witness saw the burglar load items into a white van, drive around the block and park, re-enter the business and bring out more loot – a process repeated a few times, Brown said.

The witness only gave a vague description of the van, and no suspect information was available, Brown said.

She said the business was going over inventory to determine the amount of the loss.
