First round of 'Best Of' voters win gift certificates

Debbie Gilder, who lives on Herschel Avenue, and Mark Goros of Hidden Valley Road won the first gift certificates for participating in the Best of La Jolla voting.

Gilder will receive two tickets to the Birch Aquarium and Goros two tickets to the La Jolla Playhouse.

La Jollans can cast votes online through Sept. 3. The results will be published on Oct. 21.

Every week, those who have voted are entered into a drawing for a gift from the Birch Aquarium, La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Symphony or the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.
