Police respond to possible suicide in UTC area

Police are currently investigating an incident in the University Towne Centre area that appears to be a suicide.

“Right now it looks like a suicide,” said Sgt. Ray Battrick, San Diego Police Department watch commander at 3:22 p.m. today. “We’re investigating. We’re waiting for the Medical Examiner’s office to get there.”

Police and fire-rescue units were on the scene at 3899 Nobel Drive in the UTC area, said Battrick.

No other information was immediately available.
