La Jolla native to play banjo at Anthology

Grammy-winning banjoist and La Jolla native Alison Brown will play at Anthology with the Alison Brown Quartet on May 14. Brown just released a new album, “The Company You Keep.”

The title refers to the longstanding musical relationship she has between her band as well as her record company, Compass Records, from the artists to the staff. Brown is a Harvard alum, has an MBA from UCLA and was an investment banker before touring with Alison Krauss & Union Station.

Anthology is at 1337 India St. For ticket information, visit
