La Jolla Playhouse gala takes guests to ‘Morocco’

Patrons of the La Jolla Playhouse gathered amid Moroccan music, decor and gourmet food by Wolfgang Puck Catering at the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre last Friday night. The Tony-nominated star of Broadway’s “Xanadu,” Kerry Butler, performed after a wine-paired dinner and live auction. The gala, themed “Moon Over Morocco,” benefited the Playhouse’s New Play Development and Educational & Outreach Programs.
