La Jolla Fine Arts summer lawn shows

La Jolla Fine Arts announced the dates for its Annual Summer Lawn Show 2008. Held at the La Jolla Recreation Center located at Prospect Street and Draper Avenue, the shows will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following weekends: June 28 & 29, July 12 & 13, July 26 & 27, August 9 & 10, and August 23 & 24.

The summer lawn shows are a popular draw for collectors and art afficionados. The exhibiting plein air artists will show work in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. Past exhibitors include John Hooper, Edmund Wood, Robert Landry, Jean Martin, Fred Money, Jorge Imana and Thelma Butler.
